5. Sanchi Stupa, Madhya Pradesh
This is an excellent UNESCO world heritage site in India located in the state of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is commonly known as Sanchi Stupa for its oldest stone structure in India. In the 3rd century BC, it was built by Emperor Ashoka. It is a site where was found the relics of Buddha. Several visitors come to Sanchi because it is the most popular world heritage site decorated with some of the best Buddhist artwork in the world. In addition, it has a beautiful statue of Buddha at the main gate, which makes it more popular in comparison to other heritage sites.
