Carmel-by-the-Sea, California
Carmel by the Sea often simply Carmel, is a city in Monterey County, California, United States, established in 1902 and assimilate on October 31, 1916. Position on the Monterey Peninsula, Carmel is known for its essential scenery and rich artistic history. In 1906, the San Francisco Call admired a full page to the composer, writers, and poets at Carmel by the Sea, and in 1910 it reported that 60 percent of Carmel houses were built by citizens who were devoting their lives to work associated with the aesthetic arts.
Early City Councils were subjugated by artists, and several of the city authorities have been poets or actors, involving Herbert Heron, founding father of the Forest Theater, experimental writer and actor Perry Newberry, and actor-director Clint Eastwood, who provide as mayor from 1986 to 1988.
