Dupli Casa – Ludwigsburg, Germany
The geometry of the establishment is based on the footprint of the house that formerly was located on the site. In the first instance built in 1984 and with many augmentations and diminishing since then, the new building echoes the family excavation by duplication and sequence. Lifted up, it generates a semi-public space on the premise level between two layers of circumspection. The skin of the villa performs an enlightened connection between inside and outside and offers glorious views of the old town of Marbach and the German communal literature documents on the other side of the Neckar valley.
In this house, everything flows horizontally, and the air disseminates. Its establishment was taken as a recommendation in its geometry, the footprint of the original house, built in 1984, and the inhabitant of the same location.
Making the previous building was elongated in an astonishing and unique pattern, generating an atmosphere of tranquility and luxury, while recalling the houses that still today in many countries are enlarged at the same rate as the family, hesitant to leave the family home and on the contradictory, with a predisposition to accept the new families in the same household.
