Tahmis Kahvesi

It is a historical coffeehouse established in Gaziantep in 1635. Tahmis Kahvesi was built by the Turkmen aghas and Sanjak Bey Mustafa Ağa Bin Yusuf in 1635-1638 with the aim of producing income for the Mevlevihane Lodge. It endures two major fires in 1901 and 1903.

Tahmis Coffeehouse has experienced several repairs over time. It was finally re-establish in 2009 and this redecoration took two years. It was among the most famous coffee and hookah stops in the region during its time. With the expenditure of coffee as a beverage for the first time in the Ottoman period, the acknowledgment of Tahmis Coffee in the encompassing segment increased to great participation.
